Facials, the way we do them

Atlas of Beauty is a private, one-on-one beauty studio at 712 Sturt Street, Ballarat Central, open by appointment only.

Every facial pairs skincare with hands-on techniques. The exact combination depends on the treatment booked, with each service offering a different balance of skincare and facial massage.

Both treatments layer skincare with hands-on facial techniques, with the combination tailored to the client's skin and needs on the day. The Aura Ritual is a complete 90-minute facial with active skincare, buccal massage, lymphatic drainage, facial cupping and gua sha. The Aura Lift is a focused 60-minute treatment with a double cleanse and finishing products, buccal massage, lymphatic drainage and facial cupping, with gua sha where it suits the client.

Our

Frequently asked questions.

Which facial should I book first?+

The Aura Ritual is the recommended starting point. It layers a full facial with active skincare, buccal massage, lymphatic drainage, facial cupping and gua sha, with the combination tailored to your skin and needs on the day.

From there we can shape a plan together, whether that becomes regular Rituals or shorter Aura Lift appointments in between.

What is the difference between the Aura Ritual and the Aura Lift?+

The Aura Ritual is 90 minutes and $249. It layers active skincare with buccal massage, lymphatic drainage, facial cupping and gua sha in a combination tailored on the day.

The Aura Lift is 60 minutes and $150. It is massage-led, with a double cleanse and finishing products alongside buccal massage, lymphatic drainage and facial cupping. Gua sha is included where it suits the client.

How long is a facial appointment?+

Either 60 or 90 minutes, depending on the treatment you choose. Time is treated as part of the service rather than something to work around, so nothing is rushed and the room is only ever booked for you.

How often should I have a facial?+

Frequency depends on your goals and how much tension is being held. Many clients begin with a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart, then move to maintenance appointments every four to six weeks.

Treatment frequency is personal. Some clients enjoy regular appointments, while others book whenever they feel they need time for themselves.

Are facials suitable during pregnancy?+

Many of the products used at Atlas of Beauty are suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding, though some ingredients and protocols may not be recommended. Anything unsuitable is avoided, and your treatment is tailored to your circumstances.

If you have a medical concern, please check with your GP or midwife as well.
