Who this page is for

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding and considering a facial, contact the studio before booking so your circumstances can be discussed.

Atlas of Beauty was founded after Phebbe became a mother, which is part of why this stage of life is taken seriously here rather than treated as an inconvenience to work around.

How we approach it

Facial treatments may be adapted during pregnancy and breastfeeding following a consultation. Product selection, positioning and treatment techniques will be considered based on the client's circumstances.

No product, technique or service is assumed to be suitable for every pregnancy. The consultation helps determine whether and how an appointment can proceed.

Comfort in the room

Every treatment is provided one-on-one in a private room for the duration of your booked appointment.

Please discuss positioning or comfort needs with the studio before booking so they can be considered as part of the consultation.

Choosing a treatment

The Aura Ritual, Aura Lift, buccal massage, brows, lashes and massage are not automatically recommended during pregnancy. Please contact the studio before booking so suitability, products, positioning and treatment techniques can be discussed.

Please let the studio know that you are pregnant or breastfeeding when booking. If you have a medical condition, pregnancy complication or any concerns about treatment, speak with your midwife, GP or treating practitioner before your appointment.

After the baby arrives

Postnatal appointments are often less about the skin and more about having somewhere quiet to lie down and be looked after for an hour. That is a perfectly good reason to book.

Gift cards can be used toward any treatment, which makes them a practical present for a new parent.

A note on medical advice

Nothing here replaces professional medical guidance. If you have a medical condition, pregnancy complication or any concerns about treatment, speak with your midwife, GP or treating practitioner before your appointment.
